How do you not click on the recipe for “tequila mockingbird?” Well, I couldn’t resist anyway. Thank you very much Liquor.com (perhaps embarrassingly, this is one of the few email lists I signed up for on purpose.)
Discovering that the recipe was spicy, watermelon-y and very, very easy led me to discover how amazingly delicious this drink is. Wow.
Wet the rim of an old fashioned glass with lime and dip into saucerful of tajin or tajin/salt mixture. Fill glass with ice and put it in the freezer.
Muddle the watermelon (I froze some extra — I’ll let you know if it works just as well with the frozen ones) and the jalapeno (I diced the slice) in a shaker then add all remaining ingredients (other than the tajin mixture).
Fill with ice and shake until cold.
