Rosemary-Ginger Simple Syrup

Recipe Description

This is the syrup for the Gingy Baby but you could use it in many ways!


  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup packed fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1/3 cup coarse chopped fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Bring all ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Boil for one minute or until sugar is dissolved. Leave covered for one hour at room temperature.

Strain over a fine mesh sieve, pressing solids to get liquids out. Refrigerate until needed.
