Spiced Brown Sugar Syrup

Recipe Description

This can be used in a variety of holiday cocktails and concoctions, including one of my favorite holiday drinks, the Clementine Sour, as well as Miro’s Miracle and Santa’s Whiskey Flip.



  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
    maybe throw in an extra one for good measure!
  • 8 whole cloves
    maybe throw in a few extras!


In medium saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool. Strain and refrigerate.
